5 Ingredient Wild Game Burgers

With grilling season being well underway I figured I would share our favorite wild game burger recipe to help you make the most of that leftover ground meat in your freezers.
Taking less than 5 minutes to prep it is a quick and simple base recipe we use throughout the summer for BBQs with family and friends. We often add in different ingredients here and there for fun but all-in-all it is a great way to introduce others to wild game meat as well.

Ingredients:
•2-2.5lbs thawed game meat
•2 eggs
•1/8-1/4 cup of your favorite spice mix
•1/4 cup bread crumbs
•garden chives or chopped onions

The Cook:
Step 1: Separate egg yolks from whites and add yolks to the ground meat (Save egg whites for later).
Step 2: Add all ingredients into the bowl and mix until consistent texture.
Step 3: If consistency is too dry add egg whites back into mixture. (Goal is an easily shapable burger patty)
Step 4: Shape burgers and set in fridge to allow meat to bind.
Step 5: Grill burgers at medium high - high heat until outside gets a slight crust on each side. Add cheese if desired (you know you want to!).
Step 6: Enjoy with your favorite summer ale!

Joe's Note:
If you are using bear meat cook low and slow and please use a thermometer and ensure all burgers reach over 165°F
